Privacy Policy

Welcome to Freq’n Awesome Tone Generator (“we,” “us,” “the app”). We’re committed to transparency about data practices in our app on both Android and iOS.

1) What data we collect

We do not maintain user accounts or collect personal information on our own servers. The app uses third-party SDKs that may collect certain data automatically for ads, analytics, and stability:

Advertising (Google AdMob)

• Approximate location (country/region/city level; not precise GPS)
• Identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID; on iOS, IDFA if tracking is allowed)
• App activity/usage (interactions with ads, engagement/performance signals)
• Device information/diagnostics (to measure performance and prevent fraud)

Analytics & stability (Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase, Crashlytics/Performance if enabled)

• Approximate location (city/region derived from IP at collection time; GA4 does not store raw IP)
• Identifiers (Firebase app-instance ID; Android Advertising ID if enabled)
• App interactions/usage (feature use, screens/events)
• App performance & crash logs (if Crashlytics/Performance is included)

Data handled by these SDKs is encrypted in transit and processed under Google’s policies. We do not combine this data with other datasets to identify you.

2) How this data is used

• Advertising: to show ads, measure performance, limit fraud/abuse, and—if permitted—personalize ads.
• Analytics: to understand which features are used, improve stability and performance, diagnose crashes, and guide product decisions.

We do not sell your personal data.

3) Platform-specific details & your choices

Android

• Advertising ID controls: You can reset your Android Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in device settings.
• Location: We don’t request location permission; approximate location for ads/analytics may be inferred by partners from network signals.

iOS (Apple)

• App Tracking Transparency (ATT): If the app requests access to IDFA, iOS will show a system prompt asking whether you allow tracking across apps and websites for advertising/measurement.
• Manage anytime: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (allow/deny per-app).
• Reset advertising identifier: You can reset the Apple advertising identifier and manage Apple advertising settings in Settings.
• If you deny tracking: You’ll still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

4) Data sharing

We share data with Google (AdMob, Firebase) and their advertising/analytics partners to provide ads, measurement, crash reporting, and performance analytics. We do not share data with other third parties for our own marketing lists.

5) Cookies and local storage

Ad SDKs may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver/measure ads. App settings you change are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us.

6) Data retention & international transfers

We do not store personal data on our own servers. Data collected by Google and its partners is retained and processed according to their policies and may be processed on servers outside your country. Where available, we configure reasonable retention in Firebase/GA4.

7) Children

This app is not directed to children under 13 and contains advertising. Parents/guardians should supervise use by minors.

8) Your rights and controls

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, delete, or limit processing of your data. Because we don’t maintain accounts or store personal data ourselves, requests related to ad/analytics data are generally handled via platform/device controls and Google’s mechanisms. You can also contact us and we’ll assist where possible.

• Android: Reset Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in device settings.
• iOS: Use ATT to allow/deny tracking; reset IDFA and manage tracking in Settings.
• Both: You can limit personalized ads through platform settings and still use the app.

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here and change the “Effective date.”

Android: Open Settings → Google → Ads (or device-specific path) to reset the Advertising ID and turn off ad personalization.

iOS: Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to allow/deny tracking per app; you can also reset the advertising identifier in Settings.
